Description of the case before and after

Mastopexy without prostheses 

A Mastopexy is the surgery that allows the breast to be lifted when it is drooping, as is usually the case after pregnancy or weight loss.

This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia in a certified operating theatre; the patient recovered from the surgery in an anaesthetic recovery room and spent the night at the clinic.

The following day she was discharged home. During the surgery, very little breast tissue was removed, just what was necessary to give the breast a rounder appearance.
Excess skin is removed to allow the breast to be lifted. The drooping breast tissue is sutured to the chest in a higher position to prevent it from drooping as much in the future as it does without this surgery.

The outcome of scars depends on the surgical technique, but also on the care taken after surgery. Lymphatic drainage and post-operative physiotherapy, the application of scar cream, avoidance of exertion and sun protection are all essential for the best possible result.
