Mastopexy without prostheses RC1240034
Description of the case before and after
Mastopexy without prostheses
After several pregnancies, it's common for the breasts to become droopier (with ptosis) and to have excess skin. Sometimes the areola becomes larger (enlarged).
A Mastopexy is the surgery that allows you to remove excess skin, improve the shape of the breast, improve some asymmetry (difference) that is very common between the breasts and lift the breast that is sagging. This surgery was performed under general anaesthetic. The patient spent the night in the clinic and returned home the following day. Normally, the patient can resume all activities of daily living three or four days after surgery and almost normal life ten days after surgery.
During the recovery period we recommend wearing a post-surgical bra, applying a healing cream and carrying out manual lymphatic drainage. These bras are worn for about a month.
In cases of Mastopexy Without prostheses, it's very common for patients to keep the same bra size they wore before surgery. In some cases, it even seems that the breast is smaller. This is due to the removal of excess skin, which makes the breast rounder. As well as removing the excess skin, a very small amount of breast tissue was removed (a little more on the right side, because this breast was slightly larger).
You can see how it looks eight months after the surgery.
