Description of the case before and after

Mastopexy without prostheses 

Mastopexy is a surgery that allows the breast to be lifted when it is drooping, which is very common after pregnancy. This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia. The patient returned home the day after the surgery.

No breast implants were used because the volume of the breast was sufficient. The woman's own breast was used to give it projection. The lower part of the breast is lifted and used as if it were a prosthesis to give it projection. After the surgery, she wore a post-surgical bra for about a month and underwent manual lymphatic drainage, which helped to reduce oedema ("swelling") and improve the appearance of the scars, making them more malleable.

Scars are a concern for all women. With proper care, scars can become almost imperceptible. Applying healing creams helps to keep the scar narrow, flat and skin-coloured.
