Mastopexy without prosthesis RC1100078
Description of the case before and after
Mastopexy without prostheses
The breasts can show various changes and in some cases, several of these changes can be present at the same time. This lady complained that her breasts had sagged a lot after her pregnancy. As well as ptosis (sagging breasts), she also had slight hypertrophy (an increase in size) and asymmetry (a difference in the shape and size of the breast).
These changes can be treated with a procedure called Mastopexy.
A Mastopexy allows you to lift the breast when it is drooping, improve symmetry and slightly reduce the size of the breast. This surgery was performed under general anaesthetic. As well as lifting the breast (which can be seen by the higher position of the areola), a small reduction in breast tissue was also carried out (a little more on the left side, to treat the asymmetry). This lady returned home the day after surgery. Recovery is not usually painful.
In these images we can see the difference just one month after the surgery. Scar care will continue for several months so that the scars look as good as possible. And the appearance of the breast will also gradually change over the following months and years.
