Breast reduction RC426017
Description of the case before and after
Reduction mammoplasty
A reduction mammoplasty is surgery to reduce the size and weight of the breast.
This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia in a certified operating theatre.
After the surgery, the patient recovered in an anaesthetic recovery room and then spent the night in the clinic.
He was discharged home the following day.
- After breast reduction surgery, patients should:
avoid exertion for a period of 15 days; - perform rehabilitation and lymphatic drainage exercises;
- apply healing cream and sunscreen, so that the scarring results are as good as possible.
Post-operative appointments are also useful for observing the appearance of the scars and recommending specialised treatment where appropriate.
