Breast reduction RC426016
Description of the case before and after
Reduction mammoplasty
A reduction mammoplasty is surgery to reduce the size and weight of the breast, when the breast is very heavy and large. Large, heavy breasts (breast hypertrophy) disrupt a woman's day-to-day life, impair her ability to exercise, make it difficult to choose clothes and often have an impact on her cervical spine, her personal relationships and her self-esteem.
This surgery is performed under general anaesthetic and patients return home the day after surgery. We recommend wearing a post-surgical bra for a month and carrying out lymphatic drainage.
Scars usually tend to improve with time and the post-operative care we recommend.
In this case, around 500gr (half a kilo) were removed from each side, which translates into a significant improvement in the woman's quality of life and is felt the day after surgery.
