Description of the case before and after

BREAST AUGMENTATION

Pregnancy can change a lot about a woman's body. The changes can be very varied. In this lady's case, the change was so great and severe that she lost her breasts completely. Breast atrophy after pregnancy is common, but in this case it was extreme. In addition to breast atrophy, this lady is very thin. Her preference was a breast augmentation that would allow him to recover the volume he had before.

In this case, round, high-profile, 400cc prostheses were used. The prostheses were placed behind the muscle to give a more natural result and to help hold the prostheses in place so that they wouldn't sag so much over time. This technique has various names, such as internal bra.

In these images, just one month after surgery, we can still see the upper part of the breast, rounded, which is normal. Over the next few months, the breast will take on a less rounded appearance. There is never really a final result, because in the first few weeks the result undergoes very visible changes, but in the months and years following surgery, changes continue to occur, but they are more subtle.

This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia. In addition to this anaesthesia, our anaesthetist performs specific nerve blocks so that patients wake up pain-free and have no pain in the days following surgery. This type of anaesthesia allows patients to move their arms normally the day after surgery. It speeds up recovery and increases the patient's well-being.

In the images just after the surgery, we can see the place where the prostheses were placed (through the breast crease) and we can see a drain. Drains are not constantly placed. In some cases they are placed to improve recovery.
