Abdominoplasty RC8010038
Summary
Description of the case before and after
ABDOMINOPLASTY
This young woman has already been a mum and after her pregnancy she was left with various changes to her abdomen, including stretch marks, flabbiness, excess skin and fat and a separation of the abdominal muscles.
These changes have a negative impact on any woman's self-esteem. A abdominoplasty is the surgery that makes it possible to treat these alterations. This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia. Excess skin and fat were removed, the abdominal muscles were sutured and brought closer to the midline (to strengthen the abdominal wall) and at the end a liposuctionto improve the definition of certain areas of the abdomen.
The patient recovered for 2 days in the clinic and then returned home. The only sutures that need to be removed are inside the navel and are removed 2 weeks after surgery.
After surgery, a longer rest period of around two weeks is recommended. In addition, manual lymphatic drainage (which begins immediately after surgery) and the use of a compression girdle are recommended.
These images show the result 6 months after surgery.
