Abdominoplasty RC8010013
Description of the case before and after
ABDOMINOPLASTY
This young woman was a mum and had a pregnancy with a very large belly, which caused several changes to her abdomen, leaving her belly looking out of place with the rest of her body. Despite adopting a healthy lifestyle, taking care with her diet and exercising regularly, she hasn't been able to regain the look she wanted. Her abdomen has stretch marks from pregnancy, sagging skin, excess skin and fat and the muscles in her abdomen have pulled away (which causes her belly to bulge).
All these changes have a very negative impact on a woman's life, with repercussions on her personal and social life. A abdominoplasty is the surgery that treats these changes: excess skin and fat are removed, abdominal diastasis is treated (the muscles are pulled away) and a liposuction to improve the contour and definition of the abdomen.
The surgery was performed under general anaesthesia. When she woke up, the patient had no pain. After two nights recovering in the clinic, she returned home. After the abdominoplasty manual lymphatic drainage and the use of a compression belt are recommended.
The only sutures that need to be removed are inside the navel.
The images show the result 1 month after the surgery.
