Abdominoplasty - RC7190098
Description of the case before and after
This lady complained of excess skin and fat on her abdomen after pregnancy. The skin was very wrinkled, with striae gravidarum, and the abdominal muscles were also pulled apart. This change in the muscles, called diastasis, is very common and can cause the abdomen to bulge (distend). In milder cases, it is possible to improve the diastasis with muscle strengthening exercises, but in more severe cases, only surgery can repair this change.
This lady doesn't want to look thin, she just wants a natural-looking abdomen that harmonises with the rest of her body. A abdominoplasty to remove excess skin and repair muscle diastasis. The abdomen was left looking smooth, natural and harmonious.
This type of surgery has a very positive impact on women's self-esteem and quality of life. This surgery was performed under general anaesthesia. The patient returned home 48 hours after the surgery. The images show the result 6 months after surgery.
